This tool allows you to do a quick search on any medicine or medicine category/classification listed in the ICD-9-CM Table of Drugs and Chemicals and automatically be linked to the proper codes for that specific medicine.  Each medicine has been grouped under the appropriate ICD-9 category or classification for ease of reference. Please note that this table is based solely on the list of drugs of the ICD-9-CM coding manual.  Therefore, the chemicals and some commonly used medications are not listed in the table.  However, if you run across a medication that is not in the table, but know its classification (e.g. antihypertensive), then you can enter the classification name in the search box and determine the code from there.
